Land-use planning processes get easier with the upgraded Land-use Planner

The EU REDD Facility has announced major updates to the Land-use Planner, an interactive tool for land-use planning processes. With these advancements in place, a training programme is now being offered for land use planning facilitators and interested organisations.

The new Land-use Planner website in English, French and Spanish has a step-by-step guide for using the tool, new and updated content, and video tutorials and resources available for download. The tool can now be accessed by setting up a user account, and work can be saved in a personal or team account rather than needing to be downloaded.

An online training programme for using the Land-use Planner will take place from 7 June – 14 July, in the form of five modules of content organised into courses and live training sessions. In each module, participants use a case of their choice. This training will be in English. French and Spanish courses will run later in the year.
